Ralph Nathaniel Fiennes (pronounced "Raif" Nathaniel "Fines", innate December 22, 1962) is an Oscar nominated British actor. Innate within Suffolk, he is the older brother of actor Joseph Fiennes. With trained at a Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1988. He is the sole actor ever to use at times won the Tony Award for playing Hamlet on Broadway. Around 2001 Fiennes received the William Shakespeare Award from a Shakespeare Theatre in Washington.

Fiennes' film debut was around 1992, when he played Heathcliff inside Wuthering Heights opposite Juliette Binoche. However it was in the charted season that he became known internationally, portraying Amon Goeth, the unmoral Nazi concentration camp commander in ''Schindler's List, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Within 1994 he portrayed New England aristocrat Charles Van Doren in Quiz Show, and around 1996 he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for The English Patient''.

Fiennes' career has never to return from either horror (Red Dragon) to animated Biblical epic (The Prince of Egypt) to campy nostalgia (The Avengers) to romantic comedy (Maid in Manhattan). Around 2002, Fiennes & Miranda Richardson received sensational reviews & unparalled critical plaudit for their performances within David Cronenberg's award-winning thriller Spider.

He married actress Alex Kingston in 1993, but it divorced within 1997. Inside 1995 he started dating Francesca Annis, his co-star in Hamlet.

Within 2004 Fiennes was cast to play Lord Voldemort in the fourth film of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, due to become freed inside November 2005, within the role that he would reprise in its sequels.
